Feather is available for Purchase or on a Breeding Lease. Feather is my absolute Dream horse who has developed some neurological issues due to EPM. She has been successfully treated, but unfortunately still has minor Neurological signs. . Many people would put her back to riding, but at my age, I do not want to take chances with her soundness issues. My vet believes that she can be bred and there will be no issues for her foals. EPM is not passed down between the mare and her offspring. At her age, she is far to young to retire, and she is so beautiful, with such fantastic natural gaits. I rode her barefoot with boots as needed. Her photo shows her with front boots on. She has excellent feet. I feel it would be a shame to not pass her many gifts down to the next generation.

When I was riding her for 4 years as a highly technical trail horse, she did everything I asked of her. She gaits naturally and is smooth as a "Feather" hence her name. She has a lovely foxtrot and rocking horse canter. No Trot or Pace ever. I have cried buckets over her EPM diagnosis. This is the horse that was supposed to take me through retirement. Now instead I hope someone can have some babies with her.

I have sent in her DNA to upgrade her registration to Gold. I will consider a breeding lease or an outright purchase. I am negotiable on price because my primary goal is to give her a purpose. Ideally if she found a breeding home within reasonable driving distance to me, I would love to be involved to the point of seeing her babies and keeping in touch . Feather is a sweet, devoted mare that made my heart sing every time we went for a ride. I believe she will pass those qualities down to her offspring.
