Rogue is the whole package! Beautiful, gentle and versatile! This mare is an excellent trail horse with years of experience in the backcountry and riding the local southern Oregon trails. Rogue is happy to ride out solo or lead the group. She is sure footed in rough terrain. She has a great stride and covers ground well. Rogue has also been to town to local 4H and play day horse shows, where she's been shown by youth riders. She is patterned in the gaming events and is competitive without being hot, nervous or excitable. She's happy to stand tied at the trailer all day and ok left alone. Rogue stands for the farrier and loves to be groomed. She has been pastured with other horses and while she's opinionated in the herd, she is not mean or harmful to other horses. Easy to catch. Stands great to saddle, bridle and mount. This mare would be well suited for a High School Equestrian team rider, 4H'er, or a weekend trail blazer. No matter how long she gets laid off she's always the same horse, tacks up quiet and rides right off. No buck, no bolt, no rear. No need to lunge or roundpen her first either. She's honest and reliable. Rogue has an old scar on her left hind fetlock that she got as a yearling in a fence entanglement, it does not seem to affect her performance in any way. She is UTD on vaccinations and deworming, shod (but also goes barefoot) and legged up. This mare is owned by clients of mine who are downsizing their horse group as their kids are growing up and losing interest in horses. Located in southern Oregon.
