Charlie is a 7-year-old 15.1 hh Arabian by QR Marc out of RD Everetta. Charlie loves to be groomed and dotted on by his person, he stands wonderfully to be braided, bathed, farrier and clipping. Loads in trailer fine but a bit nervous when trailering, nothing bad just gets sweaty but recovers when he gets out. Less nervous when with a buddy. He has a sight club foot but cleared a PPE with flying colors when current owner purchased him, and it is managed well by current farrier. We have not seen it hinder him and his movement at all. I started Charlie as a 5 turning 6-year-old and he has been wonderful to work with. I always look forward to riding him when he is in training. His owner is 73 and has done a great job with him when he wasn’t in training. She has taken him on several trail rides with a friend and he has a blast every time. Owner is just not in a place to school him as much as he needs currently and cannot financially keep him in training. She needs an older school master at this time so has sadly decided to find Charlie an ambitious rider who can keep up with his overachieving attitude. Charlie has 3 solid gaits, his canter is the best! He is easily maneuverable due to his compact size. Light in the bridle and quick off the leg. He is currently schooling 2nd level trot movements (shoulder in / haunches in) and working on building strength in the canter for collection and relaxation in the trot for that push. His R-lead canter can be sticky to get but if he is relaxed and you are consistent with your aids he is good. Enjoys going over poles and cavaletti. He is behind in his training since being started late so he still acts a bit youthful at times by getting distracted, but he has ZERO nasty moves, mostly just tense or looks at other horses/gets distracted, maybe has to zoomies that need to be lunged out. Basic baby behavior. Charlie has a lot of go and loves to work hard, he needs a rider who can keep up with him. His older AA owner has taken him to shows, clinics and trails, he has been exposed to a lot already and does well. Goes well in a herd, paddock or stall. $15,000 negotiable to the perfect home!
