Blue is a sweet and personable 7 year old 15.2hh Shire/Paint cross gelding. He was started under saddle as a 3 year old and then didn’t do a whole lot before I bought him so he recently completed 60 days of professional training including ground and ridden work. He is going walk/trot/canter and has an excellent stop as well as learning to yield to leg pressure. Blue is quite green still but safe and easy enough for a confident intermediate that is working with a trainer or suitable for someone that wants to continue his training and he is ready to go in any direction. He is a big lazy guy, so he requires someone who will be assertive and give him direction but he offers no naughty business under saddle such as buck, rear or bolting. He is kind and easy to handle on the ground. Blue stands tied, bathes, cross ties, stands for the farrier, etc. He loads well, but has trouble wanting to stay in the trailer while the divider is being shut on him and this is currently being worked on. Blue is good in a stall and/or living outside and gets along well with other horses. He is an easy keeper and has 4 healthy bare feet and currently requires no maintenance.
