Lovely 2011 registered Half Arabian mare, “Hickory” stands 14hh and has good bloodlines.
This girl can do it all! She goes English, Western, bareback, trail rides, jumps and has done gymkhana with a 9-year-old beginner. She is happy to pack the kids around for a pleasure ride and has been used in a lesson program with an intermediate junior. She can be ridden by beginners when she is in consistent work and that is when she is at her best. Her flat work is great and she has a decent lead change – she knows lots of lateral work and has her own motor but is very soft in the mouth. She can be noise-sensitive and may need some prep in new environments.
Hickory is currently focused on her hunter/jumper career and has experience competing up to 2’9”, finishing in the large pony hunters at the end of the 2024 season. She has had a lot of top placings with a junior at Novice Shows, including winning eq on the flat in a class of over 30. She has competed at RMSJ, Royal West, Teesdale and Paramount.
This mare is easy to live with; she ties, bathes, loads, clips and is low maintenance. She is happy to live inside or out, is currently living out and does not require any maintenance. Various recent x-rays are available from routine vet work.
