Buttercup is a 15 year old, 13.3 hand grade Haflinger mare. She is the definition of an “All Around Pony”. Buttercup has schooled up to 3’3 at home and has competed at up to 2’6”. She confidently schools beginner novice cross country. She has shown in training level dressage, has the balance and consistency to compete in lower level hunter shows, but is also handy enough to win against the thoroughbreds and warmbloods at showjumping. She has experience with everything, from competing at busy state fairs and colosseums to being used in 4-H events with young kids. Any 4-Her or camp with young kids can have a blast with this pony! She’s wide enough for an adult to ride. She is onward bound, but has plenty of brakes when you ask for them. She is happy to go alone or with friends on a trail, and is confident leading or following. This pony is absolutely bomb proof. Riding her alone, bareback, and in two feet of snow? She couldn’t care less. Anything you ask of Buttercup, she will try her hardest to please. Buttercup is a low maintenance pony with front shoes in the summer and completely barefoot in the winter. She currently lives outside 24/7, but is also content with staying in a stall if need be. She grows enough coat in the winter to be able to go without a blanket. She’s excellent for the farrier, dentist, bathing, clipping and grooming. She is UTD on all of her vaccinations. Buttercup made me fall in love with riding again, but with college coming up and not being able to keep more than one horse, it’s time for her to find her new kid.
