Sashay is a 14yo grade mare, standing 14.2h and equally as wide. She is a pleasure to handle on the ground, and she leads, loads, ties, lunges with no hesitation.
Under saddle, Sashay is more whoa than go, and I have yet to find a single thing she is afraid of! She is calm and easy over obstacles, has a lovely smooth jog, and takes both leads (though she does prefer her right lead.) Sashay will ride out both alone and in a group, and is the same horse coming to and leaving from the barn - flat footed and level headed. Sashay neck reins, direct reins, and rides happily in a snaffle, a shanked bit, or in a halter if you’re feeling lazy tacking up! It doesn’t matter the temperature, the wind speed, the location, or what the dog is doing, you have yourself a calm, easy to handle horse that doesn’t lose speed control or steering.
This lovely sorrel mare would make a wonderful lesson program addition, trail riding companion, or simply a good friend around the barn.
