This eye-catching, nine year-old quality-bred Shire/QH/TB mare is available as a broodmare prospect or for light use riding. Lark was bred by Black Mountain Shires and Sporthorses of Wyoming/Colorado. She can be registered with Shire Sporthorse Association and is 5-panel negative and color-tested. Lark features an athletic build, a sweet, funny personality and chrome on buckskin coloring including bald face, four stockings, splash spots on her belly and a half-blue eye. She rides Western/English/Trail - walk/jog/trot/canter/side pass and more. A lovely mover, she can stride out but prefers a relaxed and steady gait and is used to arena work, trails and busy farm/ranch environments - dogs, kids, goats, donkeys, cows, pigs, tractors, atvs, vehicles, etc. She has been exposed to trail obstacles, flags, tarps, drags, balls and more and will play soccer on her own! : ) Good for farrier and vet; up to date on all care. Best with 24/7 pasture or paddock turnout - she loves being outside and other horses. Has well-established groundwork and verbal commands. She is mostly calm and easy for an experienced rider/handler but can occasionally be a little sporty so would not be suitable for a novice unless under the guidance of an experienced horseperson. I've owned Lark for six years and am happy to share about her. I'm looking for Lark to downshift to light use or life as a broodmare after successfully rehabilitating her from an unfortunate injury. Please inquire about current maintenance. Photos and videos available upon request. Her price is negotiable if you offer a great home that will value her breeding, beauty and temperment.
