Meet Angelo!
Angelo is a 6 year old (vet confirmed) grade pony gelding that stands between 14 and 14.1 hh tall. Angelo can walk/trot/canter under saddle, goes English or Western and goes out on the trail. Angelo was used as a guide horse at a professional trail ride operation for a season. He has seen pretty much everything there is to see, wildlife of all kinds, people on bikes, dogs on and off leash, baby strollers, rafts, kayaks, pretty much anything you can get in the river.
With all that said, we are selling Angelo as a project. While he is broke in some ways he still needs help with going forward and being in the bridle. He can get a little sticky but does not buck or rear. He has a lot of self carriage and we could see him excelling over fences.
Angelo needs someone that can provide him with consistent firm boundaries. Once you have established yourself with him he is a joy to be around and is a quick learner. He stands tied, gets in and out of the trailer well and hauls quietly. He has great feet, has not needed shoes and stands well for the farrier.
He is for sale solely because we cannot provide the consistent boundaries he needs at our trail ride operation.
Angelo is not for sale as a kids pony at this time. He could be an excellent project for a handy teen with supervision. This young gelding is going to be an awesome horse for someone! He just came in from winter pasture, so we’re still working on his fitness level. Price will go up the more training we put into him.
