Kenobi is a 6 year old unregistered Percheron gelding. I have not put a stick to him but I think he’s between 18 and 19hh. He is being sold as green broke. He has had no form of formal training but he has so much potential! He’s a gorgeous mover. I have saddled and rode him in the round pen at a walk/trot which he did well. He leads good, we’ve been doing ground work and he yields good to pressure, forward/backwards/ and side to side. He yields his hindquarters. Round pens good, we’ve only lunged on a line in the round pen. He can be pushy he’s big and he knows it but has come a long was since I’ve owned him with his ground manners. We have been working hard with the farrier, he now picks up all 4 feet but struggles to hold them up the entire time for the farrier, he will need patience and breaks. Kenobi does have esophageal flap which means he will never be a driving horse. Vet has deemed him perfectly healthy and fine to ride at all levels but don’t expect him to be a long distance horse! PPE can be done at buyers expense. He did colic in 12/24 (his bald spot on his neck is from the IV) with a full recovery and a diet of alfalfa mix and high fiber food. He is the boss in the pasture but isn’t aggressive towards other horses, he was not a fan of our goats so be wary if you plan to pasture him with goats. Overall he is a sweet boy, in your pocket loves to be pet and groomed. Selling as I have a little one on the way and he is just too much horse with so much potential and I don’t/ won’t have the time for him.
