Paisley, was brought to us on a kill pen load out of Texas June 2023. We have been proving extensive medical care on her and her foal when she first arrived. She had over gown feet, abscesses in her mouth and on her feet, her teeth here very long, she was severely underweight and dehydrated. Her foal was in bad shape, but recovered quickly. She was in critical care for 6 months before downgrading to a lower level of care. She was released from the HCU barn in may 2024. Since than she has been working with our trainers. They said she did have some training, and believed to have been a western dressage horse or english pleasure horse. We have no information on her past. We did run a DNA panel on her to find out what her breeds were, and she came back Arab and TB mostly. She did not come with papers or any information on the foal. He was sold in Dec 2024. She is a fun mare, but shy around new people. She will need someone to be kind and patient with her as she builds trust. She is great on the ground, however lifting her feet can been an issue at time. She does not buck, bite, kick, rear or anything dangerous. She baths, ties and leads. She will load into a trailer but gets nervous. She is sound and has no lameness issues. She is being ridden western and knows it well. She would make a great western plesure or dressage mount. She can ride english but will require more training. She is good in pasture with other horses, keeps to her self most of the time. she is an easy keeper. She is UTD on everything. She would also make a good trail horse over time, but for now she does not do well on trails or around a lot of people. She deserves love and a home that will give her grace, time and patients and willing to build that trust with her. The trainers have said once you have her trust she blossoms into this amazing horse that just wants to please you.
