Atticus is a roughly 15.3hh 5 yr old grade Friesian cross. I trained him for a friend the past summer and let him sit over winter to develop and mature more before I backed him again. I recently found out I will be expecting a little boy at the end of the summer this year so sadly neither I or his owner will be able to give him the work he needs. I’ve done a good bit of Liberty work with him and he loves it! He is extremely sensitive and knows how to move off leg extremely well. I have no doubt with the right handler he would make an excellent dressage horse or jumper (he’s jumped roughly 1m with me but I am no jumper so take that as you will). Now to some cons about this boy. He’s big and can be pushy, so he will not under any circumstances be sold to a child. He will do best under an advanced intermediate with a trainer or experienced rider. Atticus is a very sweet boy, however he will test you like no other, and let me tell you he can buck. It takes about one outburst in a ride and he’s done, and the more he’s ridden the less he does it. He’s a youngster and needs a patient hand still. He can be quite spooky which is one of the main reason he has outbursts. If you can’t lead an anxious horse he will rear up on you, I’ve worked with him on it and he’s getting better but again he needs more time than I can give him.
